Emma Forrest

Occupational Therapist

Hello! I’m Emma, a passionate Occupational Therapist committed to supporting children and their families in building confidence, developing skills and participating in the everyday activities that matter most to them. I graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) and have experience working with children and adolescents with a variety of developmental, neurodivergent and physical differences.

I am committed to delivering evidence-based, person-centred care and advocating for equity to achieve the best and most meaningful outcomes for each child. My practice is family-centred, meaning I work with children and their families to tailor therapy to each child’s strengths, goals and routines. This may involve building play and social skills, supporting emotional regulation, developing motor skills or fostering independence at home and school.

I draw on neurodiversity-affirming and strengths-based approaches, and collaborate with children’s families, educators and allied health professionals to ensure their goals are consistently supported across environments. Being flexible, responsive and supportive is important to me, and I strive to create an engaging and encouraging space where children can participate and thrive.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, taking my dogs to the beach, going for picnics and painting.
